Hosting large dinners and parties

A Dish Lending Library is a community resource that allows people to borrow plates, bowls, cups, glasses and silverware for free.

This is a Low Waste project that helps reduce single-use plastic and paper waste by giving neighbors an eco-friendly alternative to disposable tableware for parties, neighborhood block parties, and large family dinners.

The Challenge

Why keep buying paper or disposable plastic dishes?
Why fill your cupboards with extra dishes, platters, and serving utensils when they only get occasional use?

Use the dish library instead

Those few times a year you need a lot of settings, borrow from the library!

How it works

  • Simply use the contact form to get in touch so that we can discuss what you need
  • Pick them up (we will have tubs for you to use)
  • Have your event: the perfect host/hostess
  • Clean and return the items
